Last Thursday, over 200 attendees traveled from across the Americas for Mirakl’s inaugural Marketplace and Platform Summit in downtown Boston. The event brought together organizations at all stages of the marketplace journey, from organizations that are just starting to envision their platform strategy to Platform Pioneers that are already running successful, mature marketplaces.

The Summit kicked off with an intimate lunch for attendees, and then Mirakl U.S. CEO and co-founder Adrien Nussenbaum opened the day’s sessions with a keynote address. He shared a primer on the platform economy, and how traditional B2B and B2C organizations are already using the ecosystem model to take their piece of the pie. Adrien Nussenbaum, Mirakl U.S. CEO and co-founder, delivering the opening keynote. Adrien’s message to attendees: now is the time to start platforming your business. Platforms are already changing how people & businesses transact, and the companies that take the lead in the platform revolution will be the ones best positioned to meet customers’ needs as they evolve. Watch the full keynote, and find video recordings of other sessions from the Summit, on Mirakl's YouTube channel.

A true Master Class experience

The Marketplace & Platform Summit was packed with marketplace stories and strategies for platform success, but attendees got to experience much more than sessions. McFadyen Digital and Deloitte Digital joined Mirakl to lead two distinct Master Classes. Each offered strategic guidance and a true hands-on workshop experience so that attendees could immediately apply the learnings from the day’s events.

Mirakl’s partner organizations and Client Success team were on hand to support and facilitate discussion for attendees as they worked through the marketplace strategies best suited to their specific business needs.

Taking your company to 2029 and beyond

Mirakl’s own Laura Irwin and Nagi Letaifa presented Mirakl’s global product update to attendees, including the launch of Mirakl Connect, the Global Marketplace Ecosystem – the platform where sellers, partners and Mirakl‑powered Marketplaces meet to accelerate their business. The day’s sessions wrapped up with a Q&A between Mirakl CEO Adrien Nussenbaum and Scott Friend, Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, on the evolution of the eCommerce landscape and how companies can set themselves up for success over the next 10 years.

Following the final session, attendees enjoyed a champagne toast and danced the night away to the sounds of Chevy and the Family!
