Since launching its Mirakl-powered marketplace one year ago, the European cosmetics retailer Douglas has exponentially expanded its platform, trading partners and product offering.
Paris, 18 November, 2020 – Mirakl is celebrating the first anniversary of the Douglas marketplace. Douglas, one of Europe’s leading premium beauty retailers, and the first in its sector in Europe to introduce an online marketplace, has seen exponential growth within the last 12 months since the launch of its marketplace platform. Starting with a select few highly curated trading partners and 10,000 products, the Douglas marketplace offering has since multiplied, empowering Douglas to offer a total portfolio of more than 100,000 products.
Through its platform strategy, Douglas has not only successfully navigated the Coronavirus pandemic, but also has significantly increased its products and sellers by using Mirakl, the leading global marketplace solutions provider. Douglas started partnering with Mirakl in October 2019 to allow third-party sellers to offer products on its online shop turned marketplace.

In addition, Douglas has leveraged their platform for good during the pandemic by supporting small retailers and brand shops that did not have the same capacity or presence online by onboarding them as sellers to the Douglas marketplace. To aid them through the difficult period, Douglas offered their new partners advantageous terms to open shops on their marketplace.
