Le Duff chooses Mirakl to launch its international B2B marketplace

The first online French food marketplace for food industry professionals

Paris, 24 January 2017: Le Duff, a pioneering and long-standing player in the agrifood industry, is launching Gourming, the first online French food marketplace for food industry professionals. This new B2B marketplace enables French food producers and suppliers to sell their products internationally, with an easy-to-use system and secure payment. At the same time, food industry specialists can source products via a single order placed directly with producers.

Gourming was launched in Paris on 18 January at a ceremony attended by Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Defence Minister and President of the Regional Council of Brittany; Axelle Lemaire, Secretary of State for Digital Affairs and Innovation; and Matthias Fekl, Secretary of State for the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad.

Gourming is the only online platform in the world that connects French producers with food industry professionals in countries across Europe. It is a timely development and offers three key benefits:

  • Greater international visibility for producers and suppliers, thanks to the platform’s high profile.
  • Interface between small producers and food industry professionals for Le Duff.

Selling via the Gourming marketplace allows producers and suppliers to focus on their core business, rather than devoting time and resources to the administrative, logistical and regulatory aspects of exports, since these are managed by the operator.

Mirakl develops software solutions that enable companies to launch and operate their own marketplaces. To support Le Duff with the rollout of its B2B platform, Mirakl teamed with partners that include Webhelp, specialists in outsourced payment processing.
